Jennifer is a single mum (not mom!) who moved to Minnesota from overseas with her dear daughter to escape domestic violence. Adapting to a new country as a first-time single parent was a huge hurdle, and navigating an unfamiliar financial system was an even bigger one!

A quick learner, Jennifer soaked up everything she could as fast as she could to build a safe, stable life for her daughter.

When she isn't finding creative ways to stretch a dollar, she teaches English to refugees and immigrants working toward their GED. Drawing on her own journey, she now designs and leads financial literacy classes, empowering her students to master the financial system and build brighter futures for their families.
